Getting started as a band secretary

As a band secretary, you can use TidyHQ to view your band and its connected players.

Logging in for the first time #

Visit the association’s TidyHQ website.

Select Log In in the top-right corner.

Enter the email address connected to your band.

Example: secretary@pipeband.com.au

Select Continue.

Follow the instructions sent to your email address.

TidyHQ may send you a one-time code or a link that signs you in automatically.

If you are asked for a password #

If you do not know the password:

1. Select Try another way.
2. Select Enter a code sent to your email.
3. Check the band’s email inbox for a message from TidyHQ.
4. Enter the one-time code on the login screen.

The code expires after a short time and can only be used for the login attempt that requested it. If it expires, request a new code.

If you cannot access the band’s email inbox, contact the association for assistance. Please do not create another TidyHQ account.

Opening your Band’s Contact Profile #

After logging in:

1. Select your initials/ Band Name in the top-right corner.
2. Select Contact Profile.
3. Choose the association if TidyHQ asks which organisation you want to access.

Your Contact Profile is the member area where you can view your details and information connected to your band.

Checking your Band details #

Please check that your own name, email address and telephone number are correct.

Your contact email is used by the association to communicate with you. It may be different from the account email you use to log in to TidyHQ.

If you cannot see your band #

Your secretary access may not have been connected to your account yet or to the correct account.

Please do not create another account, as this may produce duplicate records and delay access.

When the band secretary changes #

Please advise the association promptly when a new secretary is appointed.

Access will need to be removed from the outgoing secretary and provided to the incoming secretary. Alternatively, access may be shared by giving another person the bands login details. Access can always be recovered by the association.

Looking after player information #

Information available through TidyHQ is provided for legitimate band administration purposes.

Please:

• Keep your account secure.
• Do not share your login or sign-in codes.
• Do not share player information with unauthorised people.
• Log out when using a shared computer or device.
• Tell the association when you no longer hold the secretary role.
